Welcome to Greenbrae/Kentfield
Greenbrae is very central in Marin. Greenbrae is situated between San Rafael and Corte Madera, Larkspur, and Kentfield. The Larkspur Landing Ferry Terminal is on the East side of the town; Marin General Hospital is on its west side. Views from these homes on the hill are of the bay or Mount Tamalpais. Some of the luckiest homes have views of both. For years Greenbrae has boasted to be a part of the Kentfield School district with its distinguished school Bacich for the elementary grades and Kent Middle School for the older children. The weather in Greenbrae is sunny in the summer with temperate winter temperatures. People find Greenbrae a convenient location that offers a good commute, via ferry or car and an enviable lifestyle.
Kentfield sits at the base of Mount Tamalpais and is one of Central Marin’s most coveted addresses. Known for its great climate, it is also known for being the home of the College of Marin. COM, as it is also known, is one of California’s best community colleges. Homes in Kentfield differ from tract housing to gated estates. The single-family homes vastly outnumber the apartments in Kentfield. For people in Kentfield, the heart may very well be the schools. Bacich Elementary is one of Marin’s finest, Kent Middle School is consistently a distinguished school and of course College of Marin which is not only an educational hub but an entertainment and sports venue. Community support of these schools is impressive.
